On April 8th, 31 years ago, Laura Palmer appeared on our screens and TV would never be the same again. This week's picks are from the mind of Mr David Lynch. His mind works in mysterious ways and thankfully, he has used that mind to make some of the most unforgettable films of the past few decades. Both the movie and tv show are his creations. The short film is just a bizarre short film that fits in nicely with all that is Lynch.
THE MOVIE: Mulholland Drive
Viewed by many people as the greatest film of all time, Mulholland Drive is a mad journey into the mind of one of cinema's greatest creators. Every minute has you wondering what is going on yet you always feel like the answer is right there in front of you. Only a unique vision and mind could produce something like this.
THE TV SHOW: Twin Peaks - the original series.
One of those pivotal points in the history of TV. If you are not hooked by the opening scene of the series, then this series is not for you. If you are, then what a show. I love it. Everything about it. The mystery. The bizarre. The northwest vibes. I have watched this series through a number of times and every time it just gets better. Twin Peaks' influence can be seen in so many shows that have followed.
THE SHORT FILM: Hi Stranger
