We are very excited to announce that Brian's short film script, Wireless, has been selected as a finalist in the inaugural David Puttnam Short Film Award at this years Fastnet Film Festival. He will do a live pitch and Q&A in front of a panel of industry experts. Fingers crossed.
For those who do not know, David Puttnam is the Oscar winning producer of The Killing Fields, Chariots of Fire, Midnight express and many others, including a West Cork favourite, War of the Buttons. He has been a long time resident in West Cork and very active in the local film scene there.
The panel includes Patsy Puttnam - Festival Parton, Judy Bollinger - Festival Sponsor, Dominic Tredwell-Collins - Producer and Kirsten Sheridan - Festival Patron (also director of Disco Pigs and co-writer of In America).
It is such a great honour to have been selected at this stage and it is always so great to get recognition for the hard work that goes in behind the scenes, on long dark nights by candle light.
(There may not have been any candle light)
